About the position

The Director of Client Services for US Fund Administration is responsible for managing client relationships within the Private Equity Fund Accounting sector. This role involves onboarding new clients, reviewing fund documents, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The director will also oversee the client service team, focusing on career development, process improvements, and managing special projects. The position requires strong technical skills in accounting and finance, along with excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client relationships including onboarding new clients and reviewing fund documents.
  • Understand clients' business to identify opportunities for additional fund services and cross-selling of other CSC products.
  • Review accounting records, financial statements, and support schedules, including waterfall calculations (GAAP & OCBOA).
  • Review SBA compliance reporting, including SBA Form 468.
  • Review capital call & distribution calculations and letters.
  • Assist internal teams with all client deliverables as needed.
  • Ensure best practices are used by the client service team and look for process improvements.
  • Oversee staffing/resource allocation for the client service team.
  • Manage career development and talent management of team members.
  • Manage special projects as required.
  • Conduct internal responsibilities such as status reports and time tracking.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Accounting; CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
  • 12+ years' experience in Private Equity portfolio/investment and partnership accounting.
  • 7+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Thorough understanding of key terms of fund documents.
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, IF, XIRR, SUBTOTAL, ROUND, named ranges).
  • Private equity accounting software experience is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and perform tasks under strict deadlines.
  • Experience delegating, training, and supervising multiple staff.
  • Experience managing multiple client relationships.
  • Strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
