About the position
Vitality Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking a Director of Clinical Operations, a Registered Nurse (RN) with strong clinical knowledge and supervisory experience. This role involves leading a team of clinicians in a supportive and positive work environment, focusing on improving the quality of life for patients and caregivers. The Director will coordinate patient services, oversee team operations, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and oversees all direct and indirect patient services provided by interdisciplinary team members.
- Leads interdisciplinary team meetings to refine patient/family care plans and encourage professional camaraderie.
- Responsible for the selection, supervision, and evaluation of interdisciplinary team members.
- Ensures documentation of services is accurate and timely.
- Promotes and monitors compliance with requirements and standards established by accrediting or licensing agencies.
- Collaborates with Compliance Department to assess staff education needs and implement educational content.
- Regularly visits contracted facilities to maintain good working relationships and provide education and support.
- Monitors and reviews monthly bills, supply costs, expense requests, and payroll.
Requirements
- Licensed to practice as a registered nurse (RN) in the state of agency operation.
- A minimum of two (2) years' experience as a professional nurse providing direct patient care in hospice, home health, or community health.
- A minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of end-of-life care with expertise in crisis intervention and pain control.
