The Director of Clinical Operations at Adoration Home Health and Hospice is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the overall direction of hospice clinical services. This position involves establishing, implementing, and evaluating goals and objectives for hospice services that align with the organization's standards of quality and contribute to its overall philosophy. The Director will coordinate and oversee all direct and indirect patient services provided by clinical personnel, ensuring that the highest standards of care are maintained. This role requires a strong focus on improving all aspects of hospice care services through guidance and counseling to coordinators and Clinical Supervisors. In addition to managing clinical teams, the Director will step in as the acting Executive Director/Administrator in their absence, holding the authority to make critical decisions on behalf of the organization. The Director will assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient and family/caregiver care, providing support to clinical personnel as needed. Budget preparation and administration will also fall under the Director's responsibilities, along with interpreting operational indicators to monitor changes in patient census and staffing needs. The Director will evaluate the performance of Clinical Supervisors and assist them in developing their skills in evaluating clinician performance. This role includes hiring, evaluating, and terminating personnel, conducting annual evaluations, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws regarding clinical records and personnel licensure. The Director will also be responsible for maintaining adequate inventory supplies and equipment for patient services, developing orientation programs for new personnel, and planning continuing education programs to meet the training needs of the organization.
