About the position

The Director of Clinical Operations at Family Health Center of Worcester (FHCW) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to families in underserved communities. This position is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight for the daily operations across all FHCW sites. The Director will focus on enhancing organizational effectiveness, improving patient access and experience, and implementing key process improvements within our clinical services. This leadership role requires a dynamic individual who can navigate the complexities of healthcare operations while fostering a culture of excellence and inclusivity. In this role, the Director will develop and implement workflow processes aimed at maximizing access to high-quality care, all while supporting the organization's revenue goals. The Director will lead initiatives designed to improve both patient and staff engagement and retention, ensuring that the needs of both groups are met effectively. Collaboration with clinical and operational leaders is essential to standardize processes and procedures, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency of the organization. Additionally, the Director will manage budgets and ensure efficient resource allocation, overseeing the recruitment, training, and development of assigned staff. A critical aspect of this position is to ensure that care delivery is culturally and linguistically competent, reflecting the diverse needs of our patient population. The Director will be a key member of the leadership team, contributing to the strategic vision and operational success of FHCW.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement workflow processes to maximize access to high-quality care while supporting revenue goals
  • Lead initiatives to improve patient and staff engagement and retention

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related healthcare administration field required; Master's degree strongly preferred
  • Current, unrestricted RN license in Massachusetts
  • 5-7 years of direct experience in ambulatory care setting
  • 2-5 years of supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in health systems management and quality improvement methodologies
  • Strong communication and leadership skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual skills (English and another language relevant to our patient population) preferred
