About the position

The Director of Clinical Operations (DCO) at UBMD Neurology is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of clinical services, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and managing staff to achieve exceptional patient satisfaction. This role involves collaborating with senior management to optimize processes, improve workflows, and maintain high-quality care across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day oversight of clinical operations and staffing.
• Plan and implement new processes and establish quality standards.
• Manage, supervise, and train staff to achieve quality metrics and patient satisfaction.
• Supervise nurse and office supervisors, including performance reviews and recruitment efforts.
• Collaborate with senior management to identify areas for improvement and streamline processes.
• Monitor and evaluate facility quality improvement processes.
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance, OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control policies.
• Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure certifications are up to date.
• Handle and investigate patient complaints and quality of service concerns.
• Manage inventory and supply chain responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration preferred; Associate's degree required.
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of management/supervisory experience in an outpatient/ambulatory setting.
• Valid NYS driver's license and meet applicable insurance standards.
• Experience and proficiency in electronic health records and computer applications including Windows.
• Strong initiative, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
• Excellent communication skills and leadership abilities.

Nice-to-haves

• LPN or RN license in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in database analytics for incentive reimbursement and auditing health records.
