Responsibilities include developing and implementing policies and procedures that comply with legal and regulatory standards, overseeing equipment maintenance, and ensuring efficient patient throughput. The Director will also lead initiatives to enhance patient experience, leveraging feedback mechanisms to identify areas for improvement and collaborating with various stakeholders to develop new service offerings. The role demands strong leadership skills to cultivate a superior clinical identity and to engage and retain talent within the organization. The Director will be responsible for monitoring departmental budget performance, managing operating expenses, and identifying cost reduction opportunities. Responsibilities

  • Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care through oversight of unit(s)/department(s).
  • Forecast, plan, and monitor budgets effectively.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and collaboration among staff.
  • Implement evidence-based practices to advance patient safety and quality outcomes.
  • Manage clinical practice variations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures in compliance with standards.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate patient flow and admission/discharge planning for efficient throughput.
  • Foster interdisciplinary communication and collaboration within departments.
  • Direct nursing practice and unit operations to meet patient needs.
  • Provide leadership to enhance patient experience and satisfaction.
  • Identify development opportunities for staff and provide coaching and training.
  • Collaborate with administrative teams and physicians to enhance services.
  • Participate in the annual budget process and monitor budget performance.
  • Manage operating expenses and identify cost reduction opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
  • 1+ years of experience in healthcare required.
  • 1+ years of leadership experience required.
  • Strong customer service skills.
