The Hartford's Enterprise Data Services (EDS) is seeking a Director of Cloud Data Architecture responsible for modernizing and simplifying the Customer Data Ecosystem portfolio of assets. This role is pivotal in supporting various lines of business, including Personal lines, Small Commercial, Middle and Large Commercial, Group Benefits, Claims, and Global Specialty lines. The focus is on enabling a 360-degree view of customers, which encompasses customer profiles, interactions, and omni-channel insights aligned with The Hartford's strategic objectives. This position can be hybrid or fully remote, with expectations for in-office work for those living near one of the company's locations three days a week, while remote employees are expected to come into the office as business needs arise. As a hands-on technical leader, the Director will be responsible for designing and delivering the data strategy for various consumption archetypes, including digital, predictive, prescriptive, and descriptive analytics. The role involves collaborating with senior stakeholders across functional areas to develop and maintain both current and target state data architectures. The Director will define strategies and roadmaps to guide transformation efforts, ensuring the modernization of data platforms and processes to enhance efficiency, scalability, and agility. The Director will also create a multi-year data transformation roadmap to advance customer profile and interaction domains, enabling a comprehensive view of customers. This includes developing architecture patterns for cloud data ecosystems, ensuring alignment with data architecture principles, and analyzing emerging business and technology trends to translate them into actionable capabilities. Additionally, the role encompasses data governance, real-time data integration, and the establishment of best practices for data architecture standards and policies. Leadership and collaboration are key components of this role, as the Director will lead initiatives for continuous improvement, mentor technical teams, and work closely with architecture, business, and IT support teams to develop functional and technical blueprints. The position also emphasizes automation and scalability, ensuring that implementations are reusable and integrated effectively.
