About the position

As the Communications Director at Calvary Chapel Oceanside (CCO), you will oversee the Communications Team and lead the development and execution of the church's communication strategy. This role is essential for ensuring consistent messaging and branding across all platforms, helping the CCO family connect with the community, and effectively communicating its mission. The position requires a strategic thinker and leader who is passionate about disciple-making and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Communications Team and lead the development of CCO's communication strategy.
• Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all platforms for CCO activities.
• Manage media and public relations efforts.
• Implement process improvements for effective communication flow.
• Lead campaign management initiatives.
• Collaborate with church leadership to align communication efforts with ministry vision.
• Coordinate digital strategy efforts.

Requirements

• A genuine personal relationship with Christ and dedication to promoting disciple-making.
• Proven experience in communications, public relations, or marketing, preferably in a church or nonprofit setting.
• A degree in ministry or a related field is preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team and collaborate with senior leadership.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in digital communication platforms and tools.
• Understanding of branding and strategic communication planning.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as ministry events dictate.
