About the position

The Director of Communications at IQ Fiber is responsible for shaping and executing the company's communications strategy, focusing on public relations and internal communications. This role involves effectively communicating the company's message to various stakeholders, including media, investors, and employees, while ensuring consistent branding and messaging across all channels. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a strategic mindset to develop and implement comprehensive communication plans that align with the company's goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop communications strategy by collaborating with senior leadership to align with company goals.
• Partner with marketing leadership to create compelling content.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with media professionals and handle media inquiries.
• Coordinate interviews and media events to promote the company.
• Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels.
• Develop and execute internal communication strategies to keep employees informed.
• Facilitate communication across the organization to align with objectives.
• Maintain crisis communication plans and manage responses to potential crises.
• Serve as a spokesperson during crises and manage media communication.
• Identify key stakeholders and develop engagement strategies.
• Plan and execute events such as press conferences and product launches.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong media relations skills with experience in pitching stories.
• 3+ years' experience in a similar role with a proven track record.
• BA or BS in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or related field required.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and navigate complex issues.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in crisis communications is highly desirable.
• Creative and resourceful thinking with a strategic approach.
• Strong working knowledge of Office 365.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in telecom is a plus.
• Ability to adapt to new technology.
