BGV's Community Impact department seeks a Director of Community Impact. BGV's Community Impact department seeks to elevate the company's commitment to people, planet, and prosperity through various initiatives and program areas: BGV Gives, sustainability, employee experience, internal communications, and events. The Director of Community Impact is responsible for the overall success of these initiatives while serving as a leader dedicated to building connections, collaborating across departments, and representing BGV in the community at large. Responsibilities

  • Oversee and ensure the success of multiple BGV programs and initiatives focused on BGV's commitment to people, planet, and prosperity.
  • Promote a philanthropic mindset across BGV by supporting BGV Gives initiatives and programs.
  • Support the Employee Experience Team's efforts to ensure a sustainable workforce at BGV.
  • Elevate and promote BGV's commitment to people, planet, and prosperity through brand awareness and corporate social responsibility efforts.
  • Promote all Community Impact teams' initiatives and programs in the community.
  • Ensure employee events meet their intended purpose while engaging employees.
  • Articulate an ROI for all aspects of Community Impact's work.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely creation of the annual Community Impact Department budget.
  • Develop measurable goals for the department and report on key metrics to the Executive Team.
  • Identify, understand, prioritize, track and act upon emerging and current issues related to people, planet, and prosperity.
  • Attend events related to the work of the Community Impact Department.
  • Advise and help execute all sustainability initiatives.
  • Manage all Community Impact staff and follow the BGV Results Leadership operating procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support and be a team leader.
  • Ensure all training is thorough and conducted regularly.
  • Delegate daily work tasks and projects and check the work of all staff.
  • Work with staff to resolve issues in the spirit of OneBGV.
  • Perform staff evaluations and follow up with employees.
  • Establish, communicate, and reinforce Company policies, procedures and standards.
  • Monitor staff performance and measurable results.
  • Keep accurate staff performance records.
  • Uphold and ensure all staff uphold the BGV Standards, Company Culture and observe Company policies and procedures.
  • Be the 'End of the Line' and resolve every situation inherited.
  • Respond promptly to all email, chat and voicemail correspondence.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all contacts.
  • Dress professionally and adhere to Company appearance standards.
  • Attend, support, and/or conduct regularly scheduled meetings.

Requirements

  • Relevant bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or 10 years related management experience and/or training.
  • Strong abilities using Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint with a minimum of five years' experience.
  • Requires 7 years previous supervisory experience, managing direct and indirect reports in multiple departments.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents or contracts.
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques.
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Nice-to-haves

  • Sustainability and/or Corporate Social Responsibility certification preferred.
  • Spanish language skills preferred.
