About the position

The YMCA of Greater Seattle is seeking a mission-driven Director of Community Partnerships and Sales to enhance the growth and success of its Overnight Camps, Outdoor Leadership, and Outdoor Environmental Education programs. This role focuses on developing strategic partnerships, leading sales efforts, and increasing enrollment while promoting the benefits of outdoor experiences for young people. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales and community engagement, and will work collaboratively to ensure the camp programs are a top choice for families.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to increase camp enrollment and overall revenue.
  • Support implementation of targeted marketing campaigns to drive awareness and generate leads.
  • Develop and implement a strategic partnership and outreach plan to increase diversity, equity, and inclusion in the Y's programs.
  • Conduct outreach and follow-up communications with prospective families and school leaders.
  • Lead information sessions, camp fairs, and open houses to engage with prospective campers and their families.
  • Attend local community partner meetings and youth-focused events.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with local schools, community organizations, and businesses.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration that align with the YMCA's mission.
  • Collaborate with camp program staff to provide feedback and improve offerings.
  • Gather feedback from parents and community partners to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage the community partnerships and sales budget.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance and partnership progress.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience in Marketing, Nonprofit Management, Business Management, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or community outreach, ideally within the youth, education, or camp industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining strategic partnerships and driving enrollment and/or revenue growth.
  • Experience in creating and executing enrollment campaigns.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work under pressure.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of and previous experience with diverse populations.
  • Ability to speak any language in addition to English.
