About the position

The Director of Community Relations and Marketing at Potomac Place is a leadership role focused on maximizing occupancy through strategic marketing, community outreach, and networking. This position is responsible for enhancing the community's competitive positioning and brand recognition, managing media placements, planning community events, and developing creative marketing strategies. The director will act as a liaison between the community and various referral sources to secure leads and admissions, with a strong emphasis on improving the lives of older adults.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the sales and marketing plan in collaboration with the leadership team.
• Establish and maintain strong referral relationships with hospitals, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
• Coordinate marketing events to attract referrals and potential residents.
• Ensure consistency in brand identity and messaging across all communications.
• Represent the community at civic and business organizations to maximize lead generation.
• Develop effective communication tools such as brochures and newsletters to support outreach efforts.
• Provide backup support for the Director of Admissions and assist with tours and admissions paperwork.
• Maintain accurate records of contacts, leads, and activities in the database.
• Produce and submit required reports to the Home Office, including occupancy and marketing status reports.
• Rotate as 'Manager on Duty' with department supervisors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Three years of demonstrated experience in marketing, communications, or sales, preferably in senior living or the medical industry.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves
