About the position
The Director of Community Well-Being at WesleyLife is responsible for leading innovative wellness initiatives that promote active and healthy lifestyles among residents and team members. This role involves overseeing daily operations of the wellness team, creating engaging fitness programs, and fostering community engagement to enhance overall well-being.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement cutting-edge, outcome-driven wellness programs.
- Oversee daily operations of the Wellness and Lifestyle team, ensuring excellence in services.
- Create a diverse schedule of engaging exercise classes and lead sessions.
- Stay updated on wellness trends and integrate innovations into programs.
- Develop personalized activities for individuals at all levels of activity.
- Foster positive relationships with residents and families to encourage participation.
- Inspire leadership to prioritize wellness initiatives.
- Facilitate wellness programs for team members and provide education opportunities.
- Manage a robust intern program and engage volunteers.
- Participate in key meetings such as care conferences and safety committees.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a health care or hospitality-based organization is strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to design and implement wellness programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of current wellness trends and strategies.
