About the position

The Director of Compliance (HR) at Metro One LPSG is responsible for overseeing the compliance operations within the organization, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and municipal laws as well as company policies. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage a team of Compliance Managers and Specialists, focusing on compliance audits, regulatory updates, and performance monitoring. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in human resources and compliance management, with the ability to drive compliance improvements and support the company's strategic growth objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of all Compliance Managers and Specialists, providing feedback and establishing daily goals.
  • Direct compliance department audits to ensure adherence to licensing, training, and record-keeping standards.
  • Identify compliance liability exposures and take corrective action with field leadership.
  • Monitor implementation of new HR laws and regulations, providing updates and analysis.
  • Oversee communication regarding Security License expirations and ensure compliance.
  • Manage the compliance approval process for new hourly employees to meet hiring standards.
  • Create and automate compliance data reporting for the executive team.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Update the repository of laws and protocols for employing security officers.
  • Adapt to new technologies and changing business priorities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of management experience
  • 2-5 years of human resources experience (PHR or SPHR preferred)
  • 3+ years of Microsoft Excel experience
  • Knowledge of HR rules & regulations (I-9, SHRM, E-Verify, etc.)
  • Prior experience in a compliance field is a plus
  • Prior multi-unit management experience is a plus
  • Experience with HRIS systems, database management, or machine learning is a plus
  • Experience in the security industry is a plus
