About the position

The Director of Consumer Insights for Conversation at Netflix is a pivotal leadership role within the Consumer Insights organization, responsible for delivering insights that enhance the consumer experience. This position focuses on understanding consumer behavior and translating insights into actionable strategies that influence marketing, public relations, and content initiatives. The role requires collaboration across various functions to ensure that the voice of the consumer is represented in decision-making processes, ultimately driving brand conversation and shaping external affairs strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team to define, analyze, interpret, and socialize insights initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Comms, PR, Content, Product, and Public Policy teams to represent consumer views.
  • Translate insights into actionable outcomes for marketing campaigns and external strategies.
  • Build cross-functional relationships to amplify consumer understanding across the organization.
  • Provide inspiring leadership and vision to scale team growth and impact.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Brand, Comms, PR, and Public Policy Research/Consumer Insights.
  • Significant leadership experience managing and inspiring teams.
  • Strong expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into actionable insights.
  • Experience in a consumer-focused company contributing to profitable growth.
