About the position

Philo Ventures is seeking a strategic and visionary Director of Content and Communications to lead content strategy and communication efforts across its portfolio companies and internal initiatives. The role focuses on developing impactful content, campaigns, and execution to support startups and drive growth, while ensuring brand consistency and effective storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy for Philo Ventures and portfolio companies.
• Lead the creation and editing of high-quality content across various platforms, including blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, videos, and social media.
• Define and articulate Philo Ventures' brand voice, messaging, and positioning.
• Manage content for digital communication channels, including the website, email marketing, and social media platforms.
• Monitor and analyze digital performance metrics to optimize content strategies.
• Develop compelling narratives and storytelling strategies to highlight success stories of portfolio companies.
• Build and maintain relationships with media outlets and industry influencers.
• Mentor and manage content creators, interns, and contractors.
• Manage content projects from ideation to execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in content strategy, creation, and management.
• Strong writing and storytelling skills.
• Experience in brand building and digital communications.
• Knowledge of PR principles and media relations.
• Excellent leadership and collaboration skills.
