About the position

The Director of Creative Content will lead the development and creation of video content for Pacific Athletics, promoting its 17 teams across various platforms. This role focuses on storytelling and enhancing the department's brand through engaging social media content, while also supporting the recruitment of prospective student-athletes and fan engagement. Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Communications, the Director will manage production projects and collaborate with internal and external partners to fulfill content needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and creation of video content for Pacific Athletics.
  • Manage production projects from conception through completion.
  • Create engaging video content for social media, in-venue video boards, and other platforms.
  • Drive storytelling and brand awareness through social media content and promotional videos.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise casual hourly staff and student employees.
  • Analyze performance of social content and incorporate insights into future content decisions.
  • Adhere to West Coast Conference and NCAA rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Two years of sports videography experience at the collegiate or professional level or in television or other mass communication mediums.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to produce high-quality content while meeting quick turnarounds and deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of professional audio/video equipment and production lighting techniques.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of social media platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Prior experience working with collegiate or professional sports teams.
  • Video editing experience with Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Experience using motion graphics or visual effects software such as Adobe After Effects.
  • Experience running collegiate or professional social media accounts.
  • Computer knowledge including Excel, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
