About the position

The Director of Custodial Operations is a strategic and innovative leader responsible for overseeing custodial services within the K-12 school district at Ennis Independent School District in Ennis, TX. This role focuses on developing and maintaining strong client relationships, enhancing customer service strategies, and ensuring the success of students, faculty, and staff through effective custodial management. The position requires a hands-on approach to leadership, with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the custodial team to improve performance and client satisfaction.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Create and implement customer service strategies that exceed expectations.
• Monitor compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Manage multiple priorities and ensure project deadlines are met.
• Drive decisions based on data and changing needs.
• Provide leadership in community relations and campus events.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of successful experience in Custodial Management, preferably in a K-12 or higher education setting.
• Exceptional customer service, relationship building, and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of custodial equipment operation and floor care maintenance.
• Demonstrated business and financial acumen with a solid understanding of budgeting and financial reporting.
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on staff development and team building.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) or related certification is a plus.
• Experience leading, training, and managing a team.
• Dynamic problem-solving skills with the ability to create unique solutions.
• Experience in accurate financial reporting and technology utilization.
