About the position

The Director of Customer Success, Professional Development (PD) is responsible for managing customer relationships from the proposal stage through to contract completion. This role is crucial in ensuring customer satisfaction, retention, and loyalty, while also driving business expansion. The Director acts as the primary liaison for customers, advocating for their needs and providing insights for product improvements. Collaboration with various internal teams is essential to meet customer expectations and ensure a substantial return on investment (ROI) for business clients.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee client onboarding and establish success metrics with customers.
  • Collaborate with sales, product teams, customer support, and curriculum developers to exceed customer expectations.
  • Lead implementation training sessions and conduct product demonstrations for clients.
  • Provide support and conduct business reviews to identify growth areas and drive contract renewals.
  • Organize and lead customer user groups and advisory boards for community building and feedback gathering.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • 5 years of experience influencing and interfacing with customers.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration (preferred).
  • Management experience in a customer-facing environment (preferred).
  • Project management experience, including tracking deliverables and maintaining deadlines (preferred).
  • Understanding of the higher education and training industry, especially in a B2B context (preferred).
  • Experience with implementation or operationalizing plans, processes, and solutions (preferred).
  • Sales experience (preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thought leadership skills.
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding service to customers.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and engagement skills.
  • Skilled in organizing, prioritizing, and managing projects efficiently.
  • Adept at interpreting data and translating insights into action.
  • Strong sales acumen with a focus on outcomes.
