About the position

The Director of Cybersecurity Hybrid Programs at Champlain College Online is an entrepreneurial academic leader responsible for launching a new hybrid degree program that combines online learning with in-person experiences. This role involves strategic growth, academic quality, student outcomes, recruitment, and financial health of the program, developed in partnership with NuHarbor Security. The initiative aims to create a national cybersecurity workforce through affordable and accessible programs, starting with Vermont-based pilots and expanding based on demand.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, design, launch, and measure outcomes for a new hybrid cybersecurity undergraduate certificate in partnership with NuHarbor Security.
  • Develop, design, launch, and measure outcomes for a hybrid bachelor's degree based on lessons learned from the certificate pilot.
  • Serve as the business owner for the cybersecurity hybrid programs, overseeing strategic growth, academic quality, and financial health.
  • Oversee academic programs, including program design, regular reviews, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Manage projects and unique program requirements across multiple stakeholders.
  • Evangelize the hybrid programs through marketing materials, recruitment events, and strategic promotions.
  • Manage adjunct faculty, including recruitment, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Teach up to twelve credits of hybrid cybersecurity courses during the academic terms.
  • Serve as lead liaison with NuHarbor Security, maintaining relationships and managing MOUs.
  • Monitor innovation trends in K12 and higher education.

Requirements

  • Eight years of combined experience in higher education/corporate training and cybersecurity.
  • Undergraduate or graduate teaching experience in an online classroom using a learning management system.
  • Experience conducting training/curriculum needs assessments.
  • Experience developing academic curricula in higher education or corporate training programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to support and be sensitive to the needs of diverse populations.

Nice-to-haves
