Comagine Health is seeking a Director of Data & AI to lead our enterprise data engineering strategy and accelerate AI adoption across the organization. In this highly collaborative leadership role, you'll partner with business, product, and technology leaders to develop scalable data solutions, enable AI-driven innovation, and help improve healthcare outcomes nationwide.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in data engineering, data architecture, analytics, or AI.
  • Experience building modern cloud-based data platforms and enterprise data solutions.
  • Demonstrated success leading AI or machine learning initiatives from strategy through implementation.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, security, compliance, and responsible AI practices.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with technical and executive stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Cloud, Data, or AI certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise data engineering and AI enablement initiatives aligned with business strategy.
  • Design and evolve modern cloud-based data platforms, including data lakehouse, warehouse, and streaming architectures.
  • Identify, prioritize, and implement high-impact AI and machine learning use cases across the organization.
  • Establish responsible AI practices, governance, security, and ethical standards.
  • Provide strategic guidance on AI opportunities and implementation approaches.
  • Oversee data architecture, integration, governance, quality, and scalability.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of data engineers and AI professionals.
  • Manage technology vendors, cloud platforms, and AI tools supporting enterprise capabilities.
