About the position

The Director of Data & Analytics at Weir ESCO is responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive data strategy across the ESCO Division. This role oversees the implementation of data analytic platforms and tools, ensuring alignment with the global data strategy and Enterprise Architecture. The position emphasizes the use of machine learning, AI, and data governance to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency, while actively engaging with stakeholders to foster a data-driven culture within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Lead the development and implementation of a data governance framework to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Oversee recruitment and retention of data analytics and data science talent.
  • Collaborate with IS&T and business stakeholders to integrate AI and machine learning technologies.
  • Drive the adoption of advanced analytics and predictive modeling techniques across the division.
  • Implement corporate data policies and standards for data collection and storage.
  • Collaborate with WBS colleagues to design and develop corporate analytics datastore.
  • Manage and lead the ESCO Division Data and Analytics team, including budget proposals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a data analytics or data science role, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
  • Proven track record of implementing data analytics and governance in a large-scale organization.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, and finance processes.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
