About the position
The Director of Development for Corporate & Foundation Relations at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing a comprehensive development program focused on securing corporate and foundation gifts of $50K and above. This role involves collaboration with internal stakeholders, external engagement with philanthropic leaders, and stewardship of completed gifts to support the university's fundraising priorities.
Responsibilities
- Plan and manage a comprehensive development program for NEOMED focusing on corporate and foundation gifts.
- Establish and manage connections with national and regional business, foundation, community, and philanthropic leaders.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and execute the philanthropic strategy.
- Work with marketing to develop collateral materials for cultivation and solicitation.
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward alumni and donor prospects in collaboration with other Advancement staff.
- Match donor interests to key philanthropic priorities defined by the VP of Advancement and University leadership.
- Work with the Northeast Ohio Medical University Foundation board on advocacy and resource development.
- Collaborate with Alumni Relations and other departments on projects related to alumni and donor engagement.
- Utilize Raiser's Edge Database to manage donors/prospects and develop strategies for obtaining gifts and pledges.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Ten years of experience, or equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Raiser's Edge software is helpful; fluency in the same preferred.
