About the position

The Director of Digital Commerce and Digital Marketing at Goldbug is a newly created role responsible for overseeing all aspects of digital commerce, including e-commerce channels such as marketplaces and the company's direct-to-consumer (DTC) site. This position focuses on developing and implementing profitable digital growth strategies, managing the e-commerce profit and loss (P&L), and collaborating with various teams to optimize product assortment and marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement growth strategies across e-commerce channels including marketplaces, wholesale .com, and GoldBug DTC site.
  • Set yearly, quarterly, and monthly plans for revenue, spend, and product assortment launch strategies.
  • Manage P&L for all online channels to achieve revenue and margin targets.
  • Optimize performance of ad and marketing efforts to drive traffic and conversion.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Design, Product Development, Sales, and Production Planning.
  • Research market trends and consumer behavior to inform strategies.
  • Manage product assortment, forecasting, and inventory planning alongside production planning and logistics teams.
  • Oversee external paid media agencies to drive results.
  • Plan and develop new processes for DTC efforts including marketing, customer acquisition, and retention.
  • Ensure consistency across .com channels and social media with marketing partners.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of e-commerce experience including marketplaces and DTC.
  • 5+ years of management experience.
  • Deep understanding of 3P best practices, including paid marketing, SEO, product pages, and promotions.
  • Experience building digital merchandising assortments and strategies.
  • Proven track record of launching new products and scaling existing businesses within Amazon and other marketplaces.
  • Strong ability to analyze data and develop recommendations based on analysis.
  • Experience leading and activating digital marketing initiatives for DTC and marketplace partners.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with retailer marketplaces including Walmart and Target.
  • Ability to interact directly with accounts and sales partners to build growth strategies.
  • Comfortable in a dog-friendly office environment.
