About the position

The Director of Digital Marketing and Social Media Operations at Lids Sports Group is responsible for overseeing and managing all digital advertising, e-commerce, and social media initiatives. This role involves developing strategies to enhance brand reach, attract new consumers, and increase sales while managing a team and collaborating with various departments. The position reports directly to the VP of Marketing and plays a crucial role in product releases, promotions, and marketing campaigns across multiple digital platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day digital advertising, e-commerce, and social media initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve reach and frequency targets.
  • Manage and develop departmental staff.
  • Create and manage a content calendar for social media.
  • Develop modernized e-commerce strategy and own all digital advertising.
  • Implement a revitalized consumer loyalty program and manage email/SMS strategies.
  • Review and approve daily creative for digital marketing materials.
  • Monitor partner and competitor initiatives and present amplification concepts.
  • Develop budgets to track expenses and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • At least 4 years of experience in digital marketing, particularly in web and consumer retail.
  • Strong social media and digital marketing background.
  • Experience in reporting and analytics.
  • Oversight of agency buying experience in digital media.

Nice-to-haves

  • Direct buying experience in digital media is a plus.
  • Experience leading and building a team.
