About the position

The Digital Marketing Director at Visit Dallas is a key member of the Marketing team responsible for overseeing the strategy, growth, performance, and analysis of the organization's digital marketing efforts. This role involves collaborating with the Chief Marketing Officer to align digital strategies with overall marketing objectives, managing vendor relationships, and leading a team to enhance the digital presence of Visit Dallas. The position requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and a passion for storytelling and content creation to elevate Dallas as a premier destination.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the CMO to align digital strategies with overall marketing objectives.
  • Create, execute, and optimize the digital experience across Visit Dallas owned channels.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, managing contracts, budgets, and communications.
  • Develop KPIs and present results-oriented updates to the marketing team and stakeholders.
  • Establish a content calendar that aligns with the marketing plan and seasonal trends.
  • Utilize data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of content marketing campaigns.
  • Lead growth and engagement strategies for all Visit Dallas digital channels.
  • Represent Visit Dallas at digital marketing and tourism industry conferences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in marketing/communications.
  • Minimum of ten years' experience in digital marketing, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Office Suite, and content management systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital marketing channels including SEO, SEM, and email marketing.
  • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the hospitality industry or with a destination marketing organization.
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms like Active Campaign.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design principles.
