About the position

The Director of Digital Marketing at Hasbro will lead the digital marketing strategy for AAA console and PC video games, focusing on community engagement, social media strategy, and performance media. This role is pivotal in fostering vibrant gaming communities, driving engagement, and utilizing social platforms to enhance brand loyalty and reach. The position requires a data-driven approach to marketing efforts across various channels, ensuring cohesive execution and alignment with broader marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a social media strategy for Hasbro's AAA titles.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and foster gaming communities.
  • Build influencer relationships and align with broader marketing and feedback loops.
  • Implement community engagement initiatives to deepen player connections.
  • Establish real-time management of feedback and trends.
  • Build partnerships to expand Hasbro gaming communities' reach.
  • Collaborate to run media campaigns and optimize content for search.
  • Coordinate CRM strategies to drive user acquisition and engagement.
  • Define and track key social media and community performance metrics using analytics.
  • Report on community growth, engagement metrics, and player sentiment to provide actionable insights.
  • Assess media spend and its value to optimize campaigns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and foster external agency and partner relationships.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience in social media, community management, or digital marketing.
  • At least 5 years leading teams in the video game industry.
  • Deep understanding of gaming culture, trends, and the needs of AAA game players.
  • Proven track record of building and growing engaged gaming communities across multiple platforms.
  • Experience managing performance media campaigns and SEO/CRM strategies.
  • Data-driven with experience using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Sprout Social).
  • Strong knowledge of digital advertising platforms and tools.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with creative, product, and external agency teams.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Evidence of ability to persuade, influence and negotiate.
  • Ability to write effective briefs and deliver effective presentations.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
