About the position

As the Director of Digital Marketing at BH Management Services, you will be responsible for developing and supporting digital marketing strategies that promote the BH brands and communities. This role requires a collaborative and hands-on leader who can drive initiatives to completion while working closely with the Chief Marketing Officer and a team of peers. You will oversee digital marketing efforts across various channels, establish goals, and ensure performance aligns with company objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee digital marketing strategies, efforts, and teams for all digital marketing channels (e.g. website, SEO, paid media, and digital content) in BH portfolio.
  • Develop, plan, and implement digital marketing strategies across channels.
  • Establish digital marketing goals and implement practices to track, measure, and report performance to those goals.
  • Develop, maintain, and support reporting for digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
  • Oversee management of digital marketing channels and spend and optimize performance to hit goals.
  • Work in conjunction with internal teams to develop annual budgets and provide ongoing recommendations for adjustments to align with property performance.
  • Stay up to date on industry best practices and share this knowledge with the team and organization.
  • Evaluate marketing opportunities, emerging technologies, and industry trends to provide perspective and guidance for business decisions; develop business case to justify partnerships or strategies.
  • Manage a team of digital marketing professionals and ensure performance aligns with company goals.
  • Stay abreast of changes in the marketing environment to best serve the objectives of the organization and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Provide support for corporate business development, including development of pitch materials, participation in pitches and meetings.
  • Own relationships with vendor partners to ensure productive and effective use of those platforms.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Marketing experience, with at least 5+ in a leadership role.
  • 5+ years of multifamily or B2C marketing experience.
  • Excellent judgement and quick decision-making.
  • Next-level written and verbal communication.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in it.
  • Happily autonomous with healthy communication skills.
  • Familiarity with modern digital marketing practices and success measurement.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people.

Nice-to-haves

  • Google Analytics (experience in GA4) and Ads Certifications (Search and Display minimum).
  • Experience in strategic management of successful digital campaigns.
  • Experience in Facebook Ads and Google Tag Manager.
  • Expertise in SEO implementation and analysis, including familiarity with keyword research tools such as SEMrush, Moz, Ahrefs, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of website design and information architecture.
  • History of using reporting solutions such as Looker, Tableau, etc.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Competency using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Understand and speak the language of APIs and data feeds.
  • Previous property management industry experience.
