About the position

The Logistics Director at Johnson & Johnson MedTech is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain performance, focusing on distribution, transportation, and export operations. This position plays a critical role in driving profitable sales growth while ensuring reliable and compliant logistics operations. The director will manage a significant operational budget and lead strategic initiatives to optimize logistics networks and improve service excellence for both domestic and international customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a $100MM Distribution, Transportation, and Export operational budget and investment portfolio.
  • Drive the MedTech WPB/CLC Distribution, Transportation, and Export Strategy, including network optimization and capabilities.
  • Implement strategic investments and process improvements for business model changes and new product introductions.
  • Manage transportation provider relationships, including contract negotiation and performance management.
  • Oversee supplier relationship management with carriers, including regular business reviews and updates.
  • Manage distribution, transportation, and export metrics to ensure service excellence.
  • Oversee daily operations related to quality, compliance, health and safety, and inventory management.
  • Achieve objectives related to customer service, quality, safety, productivity, and cost.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in operations.
  • Build and sustain a diverse, high-performance team and coach future leaders.

Requirements

  • A BS/BA in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Engineering is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics and supply chain operations.
  • 5+ years of people management and leadership experience.
  • Experience managing multi-site networks and international logistics.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills for effective communication.
  • Proven problem-solving skills using data analytics and Lean solutions.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with experience in managing capital investment programs.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or equivalent degree.
  • Diverse industry experience across MedTech, FMCG, or Electronics.
  • Exposure to global supply chain environments.
  • Experience or certification in Lean, Six Sigma.
  • Strong understanding of operational analysis and project management.
