About the position

The Director of District Relations & Program Implementation at Options for Youth Public Charter Schools is responsible for fostering relationships with chartering district officials, school boards, and community organizations. This role focuses on achieving the goals of the Instructional Team in areas such as academics, student progression, and school culture. The director will also oversee program implementation in new markets and serve as the main point of contact between the Instructional Leadership Team and district personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and foster relations with chartering district officials and school boards.
  • Involved in charter renewal and accreditation processes.
  • Spearhead program implementation in new markets.
  • Work closely with the Superintendent to ensure growth targets are met.
  • Strategically plan for growth and implementation of new programs with the Charter Development division.
  • Build partnerships with community-based organizations to increase program awareness.
  • Hire, train, and develop an implementation team for new sites in new markets.
  • Collaborate with auxiliary departments to acquire necessary resources for growth.
  • Perform other administrative functions and duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • California Teaching Credential.
  • Minimum of 5 years working in OFY-OFL.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a School Administrator or equivalent administrative experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of financial budgets.
  • Excellent managerial, leadership, and teambuilding skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a School Administrator or equivalent administrative experience.
  • OFY-OFL working knowledge and/or teaching experience.
  • MA degree or equivalent California Administrative Credential.
