About the position

The Director of the Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC) at The Roth Family JCC in Maitland, FL, is a full-time leadership role responsible for overseeing daily operations, strategic planning, staff management, and program development. The ECLC has a strong reputation in the Orlando community and follows the Reggio Emilia Approach, integrating Jewish culture and values into its educational programs. The Director will ensure the delivery of high-quality, developmentally appropriate education for young children.

Responsibilities

• Guide ECLC's vision and set program goals.
• Lead a Parent Advisory Committee and stay updated on trends in early childhood education.
• Implement Reggio Emilia-inspired and Jewish curriculum, oversee scheduling, and integrate enrichment programs.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate staff, fostering professional development and ensuring compliance with policies.
• Manage enrollment, communicate with parents, and connect with the Orlando Jewish community.
• Oversee budgeting, ensure compliance with licensing standards, and maintain a safe environment.

Requirements

• Meets Florida's 'Advanced' Director of Child Care credentials.
• Minimum of 5 years in early childhood education leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in child development, early childhood education, or a related field required; master's or doctoral degree preferred.
• Knowledge of Jewish traditions and culture.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
