The Director will also be responsible for developing and strategically deploying innovative labor relations and employment practices aimed at enhancing employee engagement. This includes ensuring that collective bargaining and contract administration practices comply with applicable laws and company procedures, while also monitoring changes in state and federal laws to apply them appropriately. The Director will consult with senior leaders and business partners to resolve complex people and business issues, providing educational services that inform and empower leadership. Additionally, the role involves maintaining labor relations strategies, practices, and policies for both unionized and non-unionized locations, investigating complex associate situations, and identifying potential company liabilities. The position requires travel to field locations for relationship building, training, and attending key events, with an expectation of 30% or more travel, including international travel.
