About The Position

The Director of Entertainment at Seneca Gaming Corporation is responsible for developing and implementing the strategic plan for the entertainment program across various properties. This role focuses on identifying and booking entertainment that attracts diverse demographics, enhances guest experiences, and drives revenue. The Director will oversee all aspects of entertainment production, from concept development to execution, ensuring alignment with the Seneca brand and operational standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in booking entertainment and presenting events.
  • At least 7 years' experience in leading a team and managing casino entertainment productions.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning for shows and attractions targeting diverse customer segments.
  • Hands-on technical knowledge of music and entertainment equipment including rigging, sound, lighting, and staging.
  • Experience with digital signage systems such as Scala, Four Winds, and Symon.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience with entertainment contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and book entertainment that complements the existing customer base and attracts new markets.
  • Introduce innovative concepts to enhance overall entertainment offerings.
  • Review proposals from promoters and contract entertainers upon approval.
  • Leverage relationships with entertainment agents and artists to enhance the Seneca Gaming entertainment image.
  • Design and implement sound, lighting, rigging, and staging for events.
  • Monitor profitability across all entertainment sectors.
  • Negotiate entertainment contracts and oversee all entertainment venues.
  • Lead the production process for technical needs of performances.
  • Prepare budgets and ensure financial accountability for shows and events.
  • Conduct post-event analysis to assess profitability and make future recommendations.
  • Collaborate with FP&A, Marketing, and property GMs for event planning.
  • Oversee ticketing processes and ensure timely payments to entertainers.
  • Maintain relationships with entertainers to ensure superior performance during events.
  • Lead and manage the Entertainment Department staff, ensuring productivity and adherence to assignments.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all guests and promote positive public relations.
