About the position

The Director of Facilities at The Alloy A DoubleTree By Hilton is a leadership role focused on overseeing the Maintenance Department of the hotel. This position requires a strong engineering background to ensure adherence to company standards in both preventative and reactive maintenance. The Director will play a crucial role in developing staff, maintaining compliance with safety programs, and enhancing operational efficiency while providing high-quality service to guests and associates.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the Maintenance Department, ensuring company standards are adhered to.
  • Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance.
  • Train, motivate, develop, and review all engineering staff.
  • Maintain a positive work environment and support professional development of associates.
  • Fulfill the preventative maintenance program and develop a deep cleaning schedule to brand standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Franchise, Safety, and OSHA Programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Initiate new procedures to increase labor efficiency and safe chemical/equipment use.
  • Develop an inspection program for public areas and guestrooms to maintain standards.
  • Utilize the Transcendent program to report deficiencies and track maintenance requests.
  • Ensure timely addressing of room requests and preventative maintenance items.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment as per manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain hotel grounds and building exteriors for curb appeal.
  • Educate staff on emergency procedures, key control, safety, and life safety precautions.
  • Ensure Engineering meets guidelines for QA audits and internal audits.
  • Manage capital and operating budgets, inventory management, and safety controls.
  • Maintain room quality based on Hilton franchise standards and Concord standards.
  • Repair and maintain all hotel operating systems, including HVAC.
  • Communicate effectively with the Hotel General Manager, Concord, and hotel ownership regarding concerns.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of prior Hotel Chief Engineer/Director of Facilities experience required.
  • Strong engineering background in property maintenance and management.
  • Experience with Hilton Brand preferred.

  • Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations in hotel operations.
