Discovery Senior Living is seeking a Director of Facility Operations to oversee the operations of our community, Seaton Ocean Grove. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards, providing a safe and welcoming environment for our residents. The Director will supervise the maintenance of the buildings, grounds, security, and mechanical assets of the community, ensuring that all operations align with established guidelines and community policies. This position requires a hands-on approach to managing housekeeping, laundry, and transportation services, ensuring that these services are executed efficiently and effectively. In this role, you will be responsible for the total operation and maintenance of the campus, which includes supervising the maintenance of community buildings to high construction standards. You will develop vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for maintenance services as needed. Conducting inspections on apartments prior to occupancy is also a key responsibility, as is managing after-hours calls for maintenance emergencies. A comprehensive preventative maintenance program and work order system will need to be developed and implemented to ensure the longevity and safety of our facilities. Additionally, you will plan, organize, develop, and lead the overall housekeeping and laundry operations in compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Financial oversight is also a critical component of this role; you will review monthly financial statements and implement action plans for any deficiencies. Processing and submitting monthly expenses and budget data in a timely manner is essential. Staffing and scheduling team members according to operational and budgetary guidelines will also fall under your purview. Ensuring that transportation vehicles are maintained in good working condition and that all passengers are safely driven according to schedule is another important aspect of this position.
