About the position

The Oregon School Employees Association (OSEA) is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Director of Field Operations. The Director will work directly under the supervision of the Executive Director and will be responsible for ensuring that the field operations align with the organization's goals and objectives. The OSEA represents classified employees across various sectors, including K-12 schools, community colleges, and other educational and recreational institutions in Oregon. The position requires a high level of confidentiality and a commitment to the mission of the organization, which is to advocate for the rights and interests of its members. Candidates for this position should possess a strong background in collective bargaining, contract administration, and labor relations. The role demands excellent communication and planning skills, as well as the ability to manage and supervise staff effectively. The Director will be expected to provide strategic direction for field operations, ensuring that the staff is well-equipped to support the needs of the members. This position is based in the Salem Headquarters office, and selected candidates may need to relocate to fulfill their responsibilities effectively. The salary for this position starts at $98,040 per year, accompanied by health benefits, a 401k plan, dental insurance, and an employer-provided automobile.
