About the position

The Regional Director of Finance & Accounting at SunWorks Landscape Partners is a pivotal leadership role responsible for establishing a scalable finance and accounting department to support over $50 million in annual revenue. This position combines team leadership, business acumen, and process optimization with accounting and financial planning and analysis (FP&A) expertise. The role involves overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and implementing new financial systems, all while fostering a culture of growth and development within the finance team.

Responsibilities

• Lead all finance, accounting, and treasury operations for a $50m+ region, including AR, AP, and payroll.
• Manage all aspects of the month-end close process and GAAP financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain budgets and financial forecasts.
• Assist in the implementation of a standardized G/L, ERP system, and financial management tools.
• Hire, develop, and retain finance and accounting talent as the company grows.
• Serve as a key business partner to senior operations leaders on a variety of operational and strategic issues.

Requirements

• 4+ years in private equity or public company accounting, with 3+ years of managerial experience.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and cost accounting.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with an ability to turn financial and operational data into actionable strategic insights.
• Experience with systems implementation and process optimization in the finance & accounting function.
