About the position

As the Director of Finance and Accounting at Autocar, LLC, you will play a pivotal role in driving the sustainable success of our organization. Your primary mission will be to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness within the finance and accounting functions. This position requires a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for prioritizing customer needs, as you will be responsible for managing the financial and accounting operations of the company. You will ensure meticulous control monitoring, interpret financial data, and proactively avert any unforeseen challenges that may arise. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the company's financial and accounting functions, which include managing the General Ledgers, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash for various entities. You will lead and manage the monthly financial close process, ensuring that all incurred costs are accurately recorded, journal entries are reviewed, account balances are reconciled, and comprehensive reports are prepared. Additionally, you will generate reports related to consolidations, bank compliance, and specific entity location and department activities. A key aspect of your role will be to establish and nurture a robust financial team, actively managing performance to align with both company and personal objectives. You will innovate and implement business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls and guide the company toward achieving its short and long-term financial goals. Furthermore, you will coordinate and compile budgets, financial statements, and forecasts while reporting on variances. Conducting financial analytics to ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant financial standards will also be part of your responsibilities. Collaboration will be essential in this role, as you will work closely with external auditors during the year-end audit, assisting in the preparation of audit schedules, data, and information. You will also engage proactively with various departments across the organization, providing essential information to enhance decision-making processes, boost profitability, and uphold proper accounting procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company's financial and accounting functions, including General Ledgers, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • 7 - 10 years of business experience in accounting and reporting.
  • 5 - 7 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
