About the position

The Director of Finance and Accounting will lead and manage the finance and accounting departments, playing a crucial role in the company's growth and development. This position requires a proactive approach and a hands-on attitude to drive success across various financial functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the financial activities of the company's diverse subsidiaries, ensuring precise and timely financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Champion the rollout of an advanced ERP system throughout all subsidiaries to streamline financial workflows and boost operational effectiveness.
  • Oversee the integration of financial data across subsidiaries to ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting and analysis.
  • Lead the development and implementation of consistent accounting practices and reporting standards across all acquisitions for transparency.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering an environment of continuous learning, professional growth, and high performance.
  • Establish and uphold financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate potential financial risks.
  • Support financial planning and analysis processes, providing comprehensive reports to the executive team and stakeholders.
  • Partner with the executive team and department heads to offer strategic financial insights and recommendations, supporting long-term growth objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting with a CPA certification.
  • Proven experience implementing ERP systems across multiple subsidiaries or within a complex organizational structure.
  • Strong background in financial reporting, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance, preferably within the building products industry or a similar field.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication abilities, with a proven track record of working effectively within cross-functional teams and with stakeholders at various organizational levels.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic perspective on enhancing business performance and fostering growth.
  • Prior experience with a Regional Public Accounting firm would be ideal.
