About the position

The Director of Finance for the Arkansas Alumni Association is a senior-level role responsible for overseeing the financial and revenue operations of the association. This position involves developing business plans and financial strategies, supervising the Alumni Business Office team, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Director will also provide financial counsel to key stakeholders and manage external audits and tax filings.

Responsibilities

• Develop business plans and financial strategies to advance organizational goals.
• Lead staff in the development of departmental budgets and analyze financial trends.
• Supervise the Alumni Business Office team and monitor all financial and accounting activities.
• Provide organizational and financial counsel to the Alumni Association Executive Director and Board members.
• Present financial information to key stakeholders for decision-making purposes.
• Manage external audits, tax returns, and financial policies.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and government regulations.
• Oversee revenue generation programs for the association.
• Serve as staff liaison to the Finance Committee.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field.
• At least five years of related functional experience.
• At least three years of management experience in a related field.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree.
• At least 7 years of related functional experience.
• At least five years of management experience in a related field.
• Experience in non-profit management or accounting.
• Workday Experience.
• Experience with Salesforce and Affinaquest.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
