About the position

The Director of Finance for the Arkansas Alumni Association is a senior-level role responsible for overseeing finance and revenue operations within a nonprofit organization. This position involves developing business plans and financial strategies, supervising the Alumni Business Office team, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing counsel to key stakeholders. The Director will also manage external audits, tax filings, and revenue generation programs, while fostering a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop business plans and financial strategies to advance organizational goals.
• Lead staff in the development of departmental budgets and analyze financial trends.
• Supervise the Alumni Business Office team and monitor all financial and accounting activities.
• Provide organizational and financial counsel to the Alumni Association Executive Director and Board members.
• Present financial information to key stakeholders for decision-making purposes.
• Manage external audits, tax returns, and compliance with financial policies and regulations.
• Oversee revenue generation programs for the association.
• Serve as staff liaison to the Finance Committee.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field.
• At least five years of related functional experience.
• At least three years of management experience in a related field.
