This position is crucial as it involves working closely with the CEO and being instrumental in driving the company's future goals. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to grow with the company as they expand their operations and increase their workforce. This role is not just about numbers; it’s about leading and advocating for a dedicated team, including a Controller and A/R & A/P staff members, ensuring their success and development. In this role, you will establish and maintain robust controls and systems, including inventory and costing controls. You will prepare comprehensive budgets, analyze financial trends, and make sound investment decisions to enhance the company's portfolio. Additionally, you will oversee revenue and lease accounting, intercompany activities, financial reporting, and audits to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies. The Director of Finance will foster an environment of continuous improvement and handle ad hoc duties and special projects as necessary, acting as a proactive co-pilot to the CEO with a voice in strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain robust controls and systems, including inventory and costing controls.
  • Prepare comprehensive budgets and analyze financial trends.

Requirements

  • CPA certification is required.
  • Proven experience in heavy or industrial manufacturing is essential.
  • Strong background in establishing financial controls and systems is necessary.
  • Ability to prepare and communicate complex financial models and forecasts.

Nice-to-haves

  • An ambitious professional eager to grow with the company.
  • Prior oversight of IT and Human Resources functions.
  • 8-10 years of mid-career experience is preferred.
  • Experience with SQL and SAP software.
