About the position

AMCS, a sustainability software specialist headquartered in Ireland, is seeking a Senior Finance Professional to join its Global Finance team based in North America, specifically in Boston. This role is highly visible and integral to the North American Regional Leadership Team, providing strategic, analytical, and operational support to the President of NAM and other teams. As part of the Global Strategic and Business Partnering Team, the successful candidate will act as a bridge between the North American region and centralized teams in Ireland, reporting directly to the Head of Finance Business Partnering. In this senior role, the individual will serve as the Head of Finance for the region, playing a key role in driving change and improvement. The position offers the opportunity to influence strategic decisions while delivering on regional goals. Responsibilities include developing strategic financial partnerships with the regional leadership team, influencing the operating structure and decision-making framework, and evolving the finance partnership approach. The candidate will need to understand the business strategy and work closely with teams to drive long-term financial planning and business performance. The role also involves leading all regional financial, commercial, and business modeling efforts, providing insights that go beyond mere numbers. The candidate will be expected to provide financial advice to enable the execution of business priorities and drive accountability. Collaboration with other business partners and colleagues is essential to deliver core financial rhythms and operational excellence. A continuous strategic mindset is required to align business objectives with a forward-thinking approach, while building strong relationships and fostering a results-driven culture. Key responsibilities include coordinating regional operations meetings, managing the forecast process, leading M&A activity in the region, and providing financial leadership for various business functions. The candidate will also be responsible for financial ownership of forecasting and delivering KPIs, preparing detailed margin analysis, and facilitating the annual budget process. Strong financial leadership and control for all operational strategic projects, particularly focusing on the Quote to Cash process, will be crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic financial partnerships with the regional leadership team to provide strategic and day-to-day financial support.
  • Influence operating structure and decision-making framework and continue to evolve the finance partnership approach.
  • Understand business strategy and partner closely with teams to influence and drive long-term financial planning.
  • Partner with regional leaders to drive business performance and inform decision making.
  • Lead all regional financial/commercial/business modeling, providing insights beyond numbers.
  • Provide financial advice to enable execution of business priorities and drive accountability.
  • Engage with other business partners and collaborate with colleagues to deliver core financial rhythms and operational excellence.
  • Build strong relationships, foster collaboration, and contribute to a results-driven and impact-oriented culture.
  • Distil complex data into actionable insights and leverage data-driven approaches for decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Coordinate regional ops meetings monthly and quarterly CEO/COO reviews.
  • Manage the forecast process for the region, driving best in class operations and a results-focused culture.
  • Lead M&A activity in the region (due diligence and post-acquisition integration).
  • Provide strong financial leadership, reporting and control for all operation's strategic projects with a primary focus on the Quote to Cash process.

Requirements

  • 15+ years working in a senior and responsible role within a finance function.
  • Experience working in a SAAS organization is essential.
  • Business partnering experience is critical.
