About the position

The Director of Finance at Boyd Gaming is responsible for the overall direction and operation of the Finance department and associated areas. This role involves implementing established policies, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and managing the finance staff. The Director will oversee budgeting, capital expenditures, and compliance with regulatory requirements, while also making recommendations for improvements in financial procedures and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the Finance department and associated staff.
• Implement established policies and procedures, and recommend new procedures or objectives.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information to appropriate parties.
• Oversee the creation of budgets and capital expenditure schedules as directed by the General Manager.
• Manage financial reporting, including financial statements and special projects, and provide recommendations based on analyses.
• Oversee compliance with recordkeeping requirements and adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar area.
• Five (5) years of supervisory/management experience in a related area.
• Five (5) years of demonstrated experience in financial analysis.
• Knowledge of gaming, tax, and payroll regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and various software applications.
