About the position

The Ottawa County Family Advocacy Center (OCFAC) is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Director of Finance to oversee the financial operations of the organization. This role is crucial in ensuring that OCFAC maintains complete and accurate financial records, which are essential for the effective functioning of the center. The Director of Finance will report directly to the Executive Director and will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of the organization, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with proficiency in QuickBooks and a solid understanding of financial reporting requirements. In this position, the Director of Finance will maintain all financial records using QuickBooks, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and organized. The role involves processing payroll and related taxes, preparing monthly financial reports for the Board of Directors, and maintaining grant accounts while reporting to grant sources as needed. Additionally, the Director will prepare and coordinate annual audits and the preparation of IRS Form 990. As the organization evolves, the Director of Finance may also take on additional responsibilities to support the growth and development of OCFAC. Responsibilities

  • Maintain all financial records using QuickBooks.
  • Record and organize all accounts payable and receivable.
  • Process and record payroll and all related taxes.
  • Prepare financial reports monthly for the Board of Directors.
  • Maintain all grant accounts and report to grant sources as needed.
  • Prepare and coordinate annual audits and 990 preparations.
  • Other job responsibilities may be added from time to time in support of the evolution of this position with OCFAC.

Requirements

  • A minimum of an Associate Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Proficient with QuickBooks.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to provide the Executive Director with financial information.
