The Director of Finance and HR at Riverside Church is a pivotal leadership role that encompasses the oversight and management of the church's financial operations, human resources, facilities, and various special projects. In the finance domain, the Director will be responsible for developing and managing the church's annual budget, monitoring financial performance, and preparing regular financial reports for church leadership and the congregation. This includes overseeing accounts payable and receivable, coordinating annual audits, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Director will also engage in long-term financial planning and advise church leadership on financial strategies that promote growth and sustainability. A key aspect of this role is to foster stewardship strategies that encourage financial giving within the congregation, responding to donor inquiries and supporting donor relations. The human resources responsibilities include overseeing the onboarding process for new staff, managing the employee review process, and developing HR policies that comply with employment laws. The Director will also oversee employee benefits programs, ensuring that staff are well-informed about their options and that the benefits are effectively administered. In terms of facilities management, the Director will ensure the maintenance and upkeep of church facilities, manage vendor relationships, and coordinate capital projects.
