About the position

The Director of Finance at Bimbo Bakeries USA is a pivotal role that serves as a business partner responsible for the development of business cases for major initiatives across the organization. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities including Asset Strategy analyses, Investment analysis, and Strategic Sourcing Analysis. The Director will take ownership and manage significant one-time costs associated with strategic projects, as well as oversee major Insurance Claim financial management. Additionally, the Director leads the monthly Strategic Investment Committee Meetings with senior leaders within the company, ensuring that all financial aspects of strategic initiatives are thoroughly analyzed and communicated. In this role, the Director will develop in-depth business cases that analyze various options and scenarios, partnering with business owners and functional leaders to create strategic options. This includes the preparation of analysis, presentation materials, and communication packages that support major business reviews and decisions. The Director will also be responsible for analyzing and presenting the financial impacts of strategic sourcing options to achieve the most beneficial business outcomes. Financial management is a critical aspect of this position, where the Director will manage the accuracy and completeness of restructure projects, drive forecasts, and analyze options for discussion. Regular communication with senior management regarding the impacts and status of major events and implications is essential. The Director will also manage postmortem analyses of major projects and act as a liaison with the parent company on significant business case investments, ensuring alignment with local management and obtaining global approvals. Furthermore, the Director will manage major business interruption insurance claims from a financial support perspective and lead a team of two professionals, focusing on their ongoing development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop in-depth business cases analyzing options & scenarios.
  • Partner with Business Owners and various functional leaders to create strategic options.
  • Develop business cases: analysis, presentation materials and communication packages in support of major business reviews and decisions.
  • Analyze and present the financial impacts of strategic sourcing options for beneficial business outcomes.
  • Manage the accuracy and completeness of restructure projects.
  • Drive the forecast and analyze options for discussion.
  • Communicate regularly to senior management impacts and status of major events and implications.
  • Manage major project postmortem analysis and process.
  • Liaison with the Parent Company on major business case investments and managing the cross-border approval/analysis process.
  • Manage major business interruption insurance claims from the finance support perspective.
  • Manage a team of 2 professionals and the team’s ongoing development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • MBA Preferred
  • 7-10 years of experience in Business Finance, Business Performance, Accounting, or Strategy
  • Strong system knowledge and expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, Oracle, and Power BI
  • Proven complex modeling skills
  • Ability to work independently and participate in a team environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
  • Initiative-taking with strong communication skills
  • Ability to influence across various levels and functions within an organization.
