About the position

The Director of Finance at Trump Miami Resort Management LLC is responsible for supervising and directing the financial activities of the resort. This role involves safeguarding the assets of the resort and preparing all financial reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The Director serves as a financial advisor to both Resort Management and Ownership, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and approve all sales, purchases, salaries, and expenses of the resort.
• Analyze financial data of operations to advise management and assist in maintaining an efficient operation.
• Prepare, review, and present the monthly report of Operations.
• Prepare forecasts and budgets as required (Annual, Revised Annual, Monthly, and/or on Corporate/Owner's requests).
• Oversee all contracts and legal agreements, assisting Management in maintaining all licenses, permits, insurance, and contracts.
• Hire, train, and supervise Finance staff, including coaching, counseling, and discipline.
• Establish and audit all internal financial controls, including purchasing, cash handling, disbursements, inventories, resort equipment, master keys, and personnel time records.
• Lead efforts in achieving 100% compliance in the Internal Controls Questionnaire (ICQ).

Requirements

• Four (4) year college degree required, preferably in Accounting.
• Minimum of 3-5 years Finance experience for a major Resort Company in a similar size operation.
• Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of departmental operations and business law, federal, state, and local taxes, as well as Department of Labor regulations.
• Ability to analyze complex financial reports and make judgments.
