About the position

The Director of Finance is responsible for managing and supervising the business office, IT, Bingo Operations, and related business entities under the general direction of the Executive Director. This role is essential for ensuring sound financial practices and driving the administrative functions of the organization while overseeing all financial activities and strategic financial planning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial activities of the organization, including state billing, financial reporting, cash management, budgeting, audits, and compliance with regulations.
• Present financial results and budgets to management and the board of directors.
• Collaborate with directors and program personnel to ensure appropriate program support and operational efficiency.
• Work with third-party professionals responsible for banking, investment management, business insurance, IT, and other services.
• Supervise all business office personnel.
• Coordinate third-party IT support services and plan the technology strategy for the organization.
• Plan and provide oversight of bingo operations.
• Work with the Executive Team to plan the organization's strategic growth.
• Drive collaboration with the Development Team to optimize funding strategies.
• Plan and execute improvements and maintenance of the organization's properties.

Requirements

• Demonstrated competency in financial operations and strategic financial planning.
• Experience in financial administration best practices.
• Strong leadership skills in managing the finance department.
• Ability to understand and communicate in written and oral English.
• Ability to write clear and accurate observations in standard English.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
