About the position

The Director of Finance is responsible for leading the financial strategy, analysis, and planning efforts to support the company's growth and operational success. This role oversees financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and risk mitigation, ensuring the financial health of the organization. The contributions of the Director of Finance will directly influence the financial stability and scalability of Team SCG.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Maintain and oversee the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Lead the month-end and year-end processes to ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded.
• Analyze P&L statements to identify cost-saving opportunities through resource optimization and operational efficiency improvements.
• Improve cash flow by optimizing accounts receivable and payable processes.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, sales tax documentation, and financial reporting standards.
• Collaborate with VP of Operations on WMS implementation and oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to monitor the health of the business.
• Develop and manage a finance team consisting of a Finance Manager and two Finance Specialists.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance-related field is required.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management and analysis.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks required.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong financial acumen with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Nice-to-haves

• CPA or MBA is a plus.
